Robert M. Clark joined the University of Kansas Edwards Campus in August 1997 and since then he has implemented a strategic plan which articulates the mission of the campus: to bring the high-quality academic programs, research and public service of The University of Kansas to greater Kansas City.

Under Clark's leadership the campus has tripled in size and doubled the number of academic programs offered, resulting in the campus having an economic impact of nearly $500 million on greater Kansas City. In August 2001, Clark was named vice chancellor. Clark teaches leadership and strategy courses to graduate students in  the MBA, marketing communications and public administration programs. He serves on several community boards including the Overland Park Chamber, United Community Services of Johnson County and Midwest Research Institute.

A graduate of Harvard University's Institute for Educational Management, Dr. Clark also holds a Ph.D. from Syracuse University with an emphasis in strategic planning, a master's degree from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University.
