Course Reserves
Starting with the fall 2009 semester, Blackboard will serve as the one, campus-wide solution for electronic course content management.  For more information, see What are my Course Reserve Options?

To place items in On-Site reserve for check-out by your students, complete a Reserve Request Form located online or at the Regents Center Library.  Materials owned by the libraries (books, journals, DVDs etc.) or personal copies of original materials may be placed on reserve. Any item which requires copyright compliance cannot be placed in On-Site Course Reserve. This means photocopies of journal articles or book chapters cannot be accepted.

For questions concerning Course Reserves, contact Jennifer Mellenbruch at (913) 897-8571 or jmellenbruch@ku.edu.

Instructional Assistance and Services
Our subject specialists can assist you in planning your library and Internet-based research assignments to make them more effective learning tools for the students. If you would like to take advantage of this consulting service, please call Lyn Wolz (M-F, 8-5) at (913) 897-8572 or Lissa Lord (M-F, 3-8) at (913) 897-8556.

Our library staff can also conduct short library tours, course-related lecture/demonstrations in the classroom or hands-on sessions in the computer labs. We have found that the ideal learning structure is for us to provide a one hour in-class demonstration, followed by a one or two hour hands-on practice session in the lab, but we are happy to tailor our sessions to meet your requirements. To schedule library and database presentations for your classes call Lyn Wolz, library director, at (913) 897-8572 to leave a message or call (913) 897-8570 to talk to someone at the desk.

Reference Services
To access our reference services on the Edwards Campus, please come in to the library or call us at (913) 897-8570 from the Kansas City metro area or 864-8570 from Lawrence. You can also email questions to us at this address: rclcal@ku.edu

If you need in-depth or specialized assistance, you can make an appointment with one of our reference librarians for an individual consultation at a time that's convenient for you. If the reference librarians at the Regents Center Library are not able to give you sufficient assistance with a particular topic, we will be happy to connect you with a subject specialist.

Request Materials
Items from Lawrence and other libraries arrive here every weekday - just request and pick up.

Online and On-Site Resources
The "virtual" resources we have available at the Regents Center Library are identical to those available online through the KU Libraries' Web page in Lawrence, so it is easiest to start all of your searching from the KU Libraries’ homepageexternal link . Almost all of these electronic resources are available from your home or office computer as well. Access is also available from the computers in both the library area and the computer labs. Various spreadsheet, statistical, presentation and word processing software is also available on all the library and lab computers.

In addition to the millions of journal and newspaper articles online 24/7, the physical resources available here on the Edwards Campus include more than 60 current journal subscriptions, back issues of journals both in paper and on microfiche/film and a substantial collection of reference books that support our academic programs.
The books that are kept in our library can be found by looking in the KU Online Catalog.
