Graduate Engineering Programs
Civil Engineering
The Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering department offers the Master of Science in Civil Engineering degree for engineers employed in consulting, industry and government. Possible areas of specialization include structural engineering, water resources engineering and general civil engineering.
It has been offered in the Kansas City area for more than 55 years and is taught by faculty from the internationally recognized KU School of Engineering.
The curriculum consists of 34 semester hours of coursework which includes 7 credit hours of engineering management. If you are a licensed Professional Engineer, there is no final comprehensive exam to earn the Master of Civil Engineering degree.
