Live in Missouri. Learn in Kansas
Missouri students who are formally admitted to Edwards Campus degree programs and who can document they are residents of the four Kansas City counties (Cass, Clay, Jackson and Platte) will receive MetroKC tuition rates. The rate will differ based on graduate and undergraduate status.
Graduate students will receive a MetroKC rate up to the full cost of the difference between base resident and nonresident tuition rates for Edwards Campus courses. No credit hour limit applies.
Upper-division undergraduate students enrolled in six hours or less of Edwards Campus courses per semester will receive a MetroKC rate up to half the cost of the difference between base resident and nonresident tuition rates. The full nonresident rate applies for all hours if registration is greater than six credit hours.
In order to be eligible for the tuition grant students must be:
- A degree-seeking student formally admitted to a KU Edwards degree program.
- Must be enrolled at the Edwards Campus in the past 12 months.
- Students must prove eligibility of residence in the four designated Missouri counties for at least 12 months prior to enrolling.
MetroKC rates will not be given for courses taken on the Lawrence or Medical Center campuses. This tuition program was approved by the Kansas Board of Regents in 2004.
