Summer at KU in KC

The Summer at KU in KC undergraduate program is aimed at KU students and students from other universities who are in the Kansas City area in the summer and would like to take summer courses at the KU Edwards Campus.

Upper-level (300 level and above) courses are available in such areas as biology, English, history, psychology, sociology and theatre and film.. This program provides an opportunity for students to stay on track to graduate, get a jump on completing their degree, or it can provide an opportunity to pick up some elective hours.

The 2008 summer semester begins Tuesday, June 3 and ends Friday, July 25.

Who May Enroll

  • Undergraduate students visiting from other academic institutions
  • Current KU undergraduates (enrolled in spring 2008) in good academic standing
  • Former KU undergraduate students (must be readmitted to the University)
  • Freshmen & transfer students admitted to KU for summer or fall 2008

How to Enroll
Visiting undergraduate students
After being admitted to the university, you will be able to enroll online through Enroll & Payexternal link. Go to the Registrar's Web site for more information about enrollment.

Former KU undergraduate students
After being readmitted to the University, you can enroll online through Enroll & Payexternal link.

Freshmen & transfer students
If you were admitted to KU for summer 2008, you can enroll online through Enroll & Payexternal link. If you were admitted to KU for fall 2008, you can call the Office of Admissions & Scholarships at (913) 897-5652, ext. 3911 and ask to have your admission date changed to summer 2008, or you can update your admission term at www.admissions.ku.edu/summerexternal link. You may then enroll online through Enroll & Pay.

How to Apply
Visiting undergraduate students must apply for admission as a non-degree seeking student to the Office of Admissions & Scholarships by May 20. Requirements are undergraduate non-degree seeking application and a $30 application fee.

Former KU undergraduate students must apply for readmission by May 20 or pick up a readmission application at the Edwards Campus.
Requirements are a readmission application.
