Early Childhood Unified MSE & graduate certificate

The early childhood unified, or ECU, education degree program from KU blends knowledge, skills, value and dispositions in early childhood education and early childhood special education, thus preparing the childhood educator to effectively promote the development, learning and well-being of each and every young child, including those at-risk for and with developmental delays and disabilities.

MSE Admissions criteria

1. Bachelor’s degree in a related area of study, include (but are not limited to): education, psychology, child development, speech and hearing sciences, applied behavioral science and social welfare. An initial teaching license is not required. Experience working with young children and/or individuals with developmental delays or disabilities is preferred and may be used in cases where bachelor's degree is not in a related area of study.
