Master of Accounting Program

Earning a Master of Accounting not only expands a student’s education and job options; it amplifies earning potential and career advancement.

The master’s of accounting program welcomes students from many different backgrounds — from psychology to environmental geology — who are looking to enhance their professional options. A certificate option is available for pre-master’s students who do not have an accounting undergraduate degree. This certificate also serves as a credential for professionals interested in earning additional accounting skills.

Program Profile

Working Professional Master of Accounting

Working Professional Participant Profile Professionals seeking to strengthen their skills and advance in their profession without a career interruption
Professional Experience Most students in the program have full-time jobs during the day
Class Schedule Two evening classes per week
Program Length Five semesters (Less than two years, including summer semesters)
Credit Hours 30 hours
Program Structure 10 courses; online, hybrid and traditional offered
Location KU Edwards Campus in Overland Park, Kan.
Entry Point Fall, spring, or summer
