My name is Kelsey Peterson and I’m a student in the educational technology graduate program at the University of Kansas in Overland Park.
I’m a reading teacher in the Kansas City area, and I’ve been a classroom teacher for third and fifth grades. I’ve honed in on what I really love to do – helping others. When I’m teaching, I thrive on the success of my students.
It’s important for me to be a great teacher. To further my career, I decided to go back to KU for my master’s degree – the Edwards Campus is convenient and close to where I teach.
I love teaching. I love reading. And I love technology. Technology has become a vital tool in education today. I want to use my experience and my education to create new ways of teaching to help my students succeed.
At KU I’ve made a lot of connections, I’ve met a lot of great people, and my professors have been very supportive. It’s motivating to have professors who’ve had amazing career experiences – to learn from them and to hear about what they’ve accomplished in their lives.
We’re always learning. We’re never done growing. I want a job that fits my dream and KU is helping me get there. With a KU degree, the possibilities are limitless.
