Clearing My Holds

Holds may prevent your ability to enroll. Learn how to clear common holds on your account.

Clearing My Holds

  1. Go to KU.edu In the top right corner, select Enroll & Pay.
  2. Select Student Center.
  3. In the upper right hand corner, it will tell you who has put a hold on the account and where to go to clear it.

The most common types of holds at the Edwards campus are:

  • IMM- Immunization Hold: to clear this hold, your will need to show proof of Two Measles, Mumps, & Rubella (MMR) vaccinations. However, special circumstances may apply. Visit Watkins Health Center policy page for immunization options.
    1. To clear this hold, send your shot record with your two MMR’s to immcompliance@ku.edu
  • ULN – First Term Enrollment Hold: to clear this hold, you will need to contact your Academic Success Coach. They will help you determine your first term schedule and release the hold for enrollment.
  • GAP – Graduate Application Process: to clear this hold, you will need to have your official transcript send directly from your previous institution. Email to graduateadm@ku.edu or Mail to:

  • ISL – International Student Services Hold: to clear this hold, contact the international student services office at iss@ku.edu.
  • NPY-Past Due Balance Hold: to clear this hold, pay your past due balance. For directions on how to complete this online click here (Direct this back to the Pay My Bill location on this page - hook)
  • TBQ and TBW-Tuberculosis Hold: this hold means that you need to complete additional screening for Tuberculosis. Visit Watkins Health Center policy page for immunization options.
    1. To clear this hold, send your shot record with your two MMR’s to immcompliance@ku.edu
  • SXH-Sexual Harassment Education Hold: to clear this hold, you will need to complete the online sexual harassment education located at Think About It.

Paying My Bill

Pay your bill online in a few easy steps. Payment plans are available. Bills are created on the 15th of the month. Learn how to pay your bill online.

 

  1. Go to KU.edu In the top right corner, select Enroll & Pay.
  2. Under the Main Menu, select Campus Finances.
  3. Click the Make Payment--Recharge KU Card link. (Ensure pop-ups are allowed)
  4. Select the green Pay Tuition, Housing and Other Charges button. If asked, choose University of Kansas – Lawrence
  5. Click the green Make Payment button in the Student Account box, enter amount to pay and click "Continue"
  6. Choose your payment method and click the Select box and enter financial information to proceed.
  7. Once the payment is processed, you will see a receipt. In addition, you will receive an e-mail with information about your payment.  Please print the confirmation for your records. This receipt indicates that a transaction is acknowledged by the system and being processed.

Printing and Finding My Class Schedule

Need to know where to go for class? Learn how to access your schedule

  1. Go to KU.edu In the top right corner, select Enroll & Pay.
  2. Select Student Center
  3. Under academics select My Class Schedule
  4. Choose Printer Friendly Page to print

If you need assistance finding or printing your class schedule, come see us at the Welcome and Success Center in Regents Center.

Applying for Graduation & Diplomas

Apply for graduation and choose where you would like your diploma to go. Learn how to apply for graduation.

  1. Go to KU.edu In the top right corner, select Enroll & Pay.
  2. Select Degree Progress / Graduation.
  3. Choose Apply for Graduation and complete the steps.
  4. For more information about graduation and commencement choose Graduation

Get your Diploma Sent to your Home:

  1. Go to KU.edu In the top right corner, select Enroll & Pay.
  2. Select Degree Progress / Graduation
  3. Choose Diploma Delivery Request and complete the steps
  4. Choose the “Mailed” selection. 
  5. Diploma pick up at the Edwards Campus is discontinued at this time. 
  6. For more information about diplomas choose Diplomas

Getting an Official Transcript

Need proof that you are a student for insurance or other reasons? Learn how to access this information quickly.

  1. Go to KU.edu in the top right corner, search for Order a Transcript
  2. Choose KU Online ID: Start Your Order or No KU Online ID: Start Your Order.
  3. If you do not know what a KU Online ID is, please choose No KU Online ID: Start Your Order.
  4. Follow the online steps to complete your order.
  5. There is a cost associated with the official transcript.

To Check the status of your Transcript Order, please choose Transcripts.

Enrollment Verification or Certification

Need proof that you are a student, enrolled in classes for insurance or other reasons? Learn how to access your enrollment verification.

  1. Go to KU.edu in the top right corner, search for Enrollment Certification
  2. Select Start An Enrollment Certification Request.
    1. If you need a specific form filled out by the University from another entity, choose Form Request
      1. Form Request will take you to the KU Registrars form.
    2. If the entity needs proof of your enrollment and your status, choose Self Service
      1. Self Service will take you to the National Student Clearinghouse where you will complete the steps for instant access to your enrollment verification.

        It is recommended to start with the self service option as most often this is enough proof for the third party.

Accessing Technology or Tech Help

Make sure you know how to access the technology used in your classes. Explore what free software KU has for you.

f you need technology assistance for the Edwards campus, you can email kuec_support@ku.edu or call 913-626-9619. Campus operating hours apply.

Common Technologies Used at KU Edwards:

  1. Blackboard – Navigating to Your online classes
    1. Go to KU.edu In the top right corner, select Blackboard.
    2. Select the blue KU Login button and enter your online ID and Password
    3. Navigate to your course on the right hand side of the page – Blue hyperlink
      1. If your course is greyed out, your instructor has not made it available to you yet. Most often, courses will open for you to view the first week of the class start date.
  2. Enroll & Pay Information
    1. Go to KU.edu In the top right corner, select Enroll & Pay.
    2. Select the blue KU Login button and enter your online ID and Password
    3. Choose Student Center
      1. This main page is where you can pay your bill, enroll in classes, print your schedule, apply for graduation, and much more.

  3. Jayhawk GPS – Undergrad Students – Schedule an appointment with your Academic Success Coach
    1. Go to Jayhawk GPS.
    2. On the right hand side of the page, select the blue button Jayhawk GPS Login
    3. Enter your online ID and Password
    4. Select the blue Schedule Appointment button
    5. Free Software for Download – Get the software you need to succeed
      1. KU has software available to support your program of study. Select Information Technology to learn about what technology KU provides for no cost or a reduced cost.
