Graduate Certificate in Foundations of Business

If you're not quite ready to dive into an MBA program, or if you're just looking for some business knowledge, a Foundations of Business certificate is your ticket to executive education. You'll learn the basics of business management and get a great introduction to our MBA programs. And if you later decide to pursue a full MBA, this certificate is the perfect pathway to a Working Professional MBA program.

The Foundations of Business certificate is open to anyone with an accredited bachelor's degree, with a minimum 3.0 GPA. And you don't need prior business education to apply. Applications will only be considered after all necessary material is submitted including the transcripts of completion for the MBA Math Tutorial. MBA Math is an online tuturorial that applicants purchase and complete. It is a preparatory tutorial for the Foundations of Business Certificate and covers topics including accounting, finance, statistics, economics and spreadsheets.

GMAT Waiver

Credits earned for the certificate may be applied to the requirements for the MBA degree should you decide to pursue it. Successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Foundations of Business in a one-year perid with a 3.5 or higher GPA waives the GMAT requirement for the MBA program application. Students must apply to the MBA for the term directly following their completion of the certificate to be eligible for the GMAT waiver.
