Biography —
Jane Kloeckner is an adjunct faculty at University of Kansas Edwards Campus. As an attorney/advisor at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, she received EPA's highest honors during her long career. Kloeckner retired from EPA in 2021. Her personal mission is to protect the environment and human health and to teach others to do the same. Her professional experience includes environmental law enforcement on cleanup of hazardous substances, pollutants, and contaminants, and legal counseling on environmental justice, federal Indian law, and climate change laws. She has more than 17 years of graduate and professional level teaching experience and teaches courses in the environmental assessment PSM and indigenous studies programs. She is an interdisciplinary professional and servant leader. Her publications include law review articles on federal Indian law, climate change, and sustainable mining. She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri Science & Technology, a juris doctorate from St. Louis University, and Master of Law, LLM Urban Law, from University of Missouri, Kansas City.
