Julie Myer

Julie is the graduate recruiter for the School of Professional Studies (SPS) and KU Edwards graduate programs. She has worked at KU since August 2024.

Julie was born and raised in Lawrence, Kansas. She earned a B.S. in Secondary Education, English, and an M.A. in English before working in China for 11 years, including work as an English teacher in various settings, a translator/editor in a software company, and the Dean of Business English at a Chinese technical college. After returning to the U.S., Julie worked various faculty and staff roles in international higher education for 11 years, during which time she completed an M.A. in TESL and a Ph.D. in TESL and higher education administration, both at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Having always been at Jayhawk at heart, Julie is excited to have the opportunity to promote the University of Kansas as the graduate recruiter for the School of Professional Studies and KU Edwards Campus.

When she’s not at work, Julie enjoys a very active social life with friends and family, her church, and her cat and dog.
