Dr. Marcia Schulmeister, Ph.D., P.G., F. GSA

Marcia Schulmeister is also a faculty member in the KU Geology Department and has taught and conducted research in applied hydrogeology and geochemistry for over 30 years at universities in the U.S., China, Thailand and Germany. Her professional experience includes employment at the Kansas Geological Survey, Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and Illinois State Water Survey, where her work focused on the characterization, modeling and remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater. She is a Fulbright Scholar, a Fellow of the Geological Society of America, associate editor for Groundwater, and has served as an officer or member of the Geological Society of America, Kanas Water Resource Institute, Association for Women Geoscientists and other professional boards.
