Biography

Roger Bonner had a 28-year career with the Kansas Department of Corrections. Starting with the Department as a corrections officer, he worked a number of positions learning about all aspects of corrections. Roger worked 22 years in investigations, retiring as Deputy Director of Facility Operations - Enforcement, Apprehensions, and Investigations Division supervising the investigation section of the Department statewide. He was the liaison between the Department of Corrections and local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, assisting in investigations as needed. Since his retirement, Roger has taught a variety of courses in corrections, law enforcement, and criminology for several universities. He has also presented at numerous law enforcement and community conferences.
