Tess Koppelman

Tess Koppelman is a communications consultant and has worked as a Lecturer at the KU Edwards Campus since 2021. She worked as a television journalist for 16 years and won many awards including a regional Emmy award and several awards from the Missouri Broadcasters Association. She worked at WDAF-TV in Kansas City as a reporter from 2001-2014. Tess also volunteers with many local charities and works with several non-profit organizations in her consulting business.



Since transitioning from a career in television news, Tess earned a Master's degree in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas and teaches a course for graduate students focused on strategic writing and presenting skills for leaders.
