The STEM Forward Scholars program enhances learning opportunities and supports students in select programs at the University of Kansas Edwards Campus. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be: 

• Students eligible for a Pell Grant. (No FAFSA required.) 
• Admitted to a biotech, applied biological sciences, or health sciences program at KUEC. 

 
The STEM Forward Scholars program supports students from historically marginalized communities and students underrepresented in STEM, reinforcing KU’s commitment to a diverse and equitable workforce in STEM fields. Participating scholars gain access to a wide range of dedicated services, including:  

• STEM-focused advising. 
• Professional development and networking opportunities. 
• Opportunity funds. 
• Mentoring opportunities 
• Lasting relationships with peers, faculty, and staff.
